1. Banana and Honey
If you want a moisturizing mask that has a firming effect on your skin, a banana and honey mask will give you what you want and need. Mash together one banana and one teaspoon of honey. Apply this mixture on your clean face and neck. Make sure that you avoid the eye area. Leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse it off using warm water. Allow you skin to breathe before you use your regular moisturizing and sun protection product.
2. Banana and Oatmeal
Oatmeal is a great natural cleanser as discussed in a previous article. It also contains properties that can help get rid of the dirt and acne-causing substances from your skin. Depending of the thickness you want for this mask, mix together 1/4 – 1/2 cup of oatmeal with a large banana. You can choose to grind the oatmeal in a food processor or you can use it as it is. The mixture should be a little thick. Leave this mixture on your face for 20 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Allow your skin to breathe for a few minutes before applying your moisturizing and sun protection products.
3. Banana and Vitamin E
Combine mashed banana with 1/8 tsp of Vitamin E (you can get Vitamin E capsules at a drugstore. Just prick the capsule to get the liquid vitamin). Mix the ingredients well so that the Vitamin E will be thoroughly blended with the banana. Pat this mixture on your skin and leave it on for ten minutes. Make sure that you avoid the eye area. Rinse off with warm water afterwards. As before, allow your skin to breathe for a while before you apply your favorite moisturinzing and sun protection product.
