If I Had To Choose…

If I Had To Choose…

Monday Mingle2 If I Had To Choose...Hi Everyone, Welcome to today’s Monday Mingle Business Edition hosted by the Party Plan Coach, Lynsey Jones. This is a MEME or a blog hop in which we get to know each other and different aspects of our party plan business.  Usually we talk about  business, but todayit’s all about getting to know me as a friend  and this particular hop is  a little bit of  fun. And you know fun is the main part of  my party plan business. So why not have some  fun getting to know each other through this blog hop?   So, Let’s Get This Party Started!

Today’s Question:

Would you rather your home had a swimming pool, a rose garden or a tennis court? And Why?

I love this question on so many levels. I am a New York girl. Born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island in Freeport. I worked in a NYC hospitatl and eventually  ralized I wanted a home, had the money on paper and finally bought one in Chesapeake, Virginia. The reasons are not important why I relocated  but needless to say, I had a home; a piece of the rock, my very own address with a mortgage.

Wanna Swim?

What I bought, was a jewel.  I bought a 1970′s ranch in an established neighborhood and what I got in the bargain was  a hole in the ground, a cement pond or as most people would say, a swimming pool.  The original owner of my house was an olympic diver and had one put in with an 11 foot deep end. Not a problem.  I don’t swim, but I have company every summer.  And I love to barbecue around the pool.

I love my roses.

Because I loved my Grandmother’s, my Mother’s and My Aunt’s roses,  I planted several rose bushes. So, yeah,  I do have a rose garden, however small and however scattered.  And as for Tennis… if you count badminton, which is a tennis-like sport, I set up the net in summer as well.

Anyone for tenniss... eh badminton?

I guess you can say I am truly blessed. I have something special in my house. I have a home, which excepts company, loves laughter, and the barbacue ain’t half bad either.  So, I guess you can say, on any given summer afternoon, my house qualifies for all there options of the question.  The little girl from Freeport NY has truly  been blessed.

So, How about you? What would you choose? Join the Blog Hop and share your answer.

  1. LOVE that picture at the top Carla–roses are my favorite flower; so my answer would obviously be the rose garden. It sounds like your place is the place to be for summer fun!

    • Hi Ann, You are so right… I love roses too! If I had to choose, the pink one right out in front would be my fav.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving your comment, I really appreciate it!
